Hi Brandon-

I've rebooted this Ubuntu laptop at least once and its worked. I notice that the system inserts a module when the card is placed in the slot. Is that module inserted in your kernel when the card goes in? It looks like this:

sierra 13188 1
usbserial 34920 3 sierra
usbcore 138632 9 sierra,usbserial,ohci_hcd,usb_storage,libusual,cdc_acm,
ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd

Also, when I insert the card, dmesg responds with a bunch of stuff. Can you send me the print out of what dmesg says when you insert the card after you reboot?

Its worth noting I did not have to make the changes to udev at all that pbandjelly state. I just inserted the card and away I went. I don't think I stated that when I wrote the blogpost.

quick question for you.....I used pbandjelly also for the install of my 595 in UBUNTU, and it worked for me also...eventually once I figured out some minor details. Anyway, after I rebooted my computer for the first time it stopped working!! Would you have any insight as to what could be wrong??

THANKS!
