Off to Scale 4x

Im particularly excited about my return trip to Scale 4x this year.  I went last year and had a great time listening to promoters of this wonderful Linux operating system appear in a very grassroots type show.  There are the big guys there as well and I have a few friends to meet up with there.

The show is one of best in quality of presentations and the focused nature of the exposition.  Its nice to attend a show where the approach is on extending Linux across education, business, clustering, whatever.

I’m flying out tomorrow and am staying at the Raidisson Hotel where the conference is.  If you’re going, you are in for a great show with quality presentors and a wonderful look and feel.  The whole LinuxWorld Expo leaves me wanting something else every year.  Last year, they kicked the .org’s almost out of the place.  My main message to these IDG guys is “come on…  the .org guys are important to things; they provide a continuity and deserve more than a corner on some other floor”.

That’s exactly why I like the SCALE shows.
